On Friday night, four team members heading to Kitchener for the Kitchener Twilight Crit. This race is a recent addition to the calendar with last year being its first. It is the only Cycling Canada sanctioned crit in Ontario. As such it had a great equal money prize purse, some awesome primes and a fast, four corner course right downtown.

The team goal was to win the race, which unfortunately did not happen, but not for lack of trying and great team effort. Ellen finished second after lapping the field with Jamie Gilgen (Rise Racing) and Emily finished fourth just missing the bunch sprint. Each of the girls took a prime and made the race aggressive and exciting.

Afterwards the team enjoyed watching the men’s crit and touring downtown Kitchener.

Thank you to Volvo-Ottawa who provides us with a sweet team car that allowed for more of us to travel down to this race and to all our other fantastic sponsors as well!
