It’s a great chance to get together with members of the local cycling community and support a great cause at the same time.
Part of the funds from this year’s dinner will go to the National Capital Region Cycling Bursary, which has given out more than $35,000 to up-and-coming cyclists since 2000. As part of the bursary theme, the 2015 recipients will be presented during the dinner.
The rest of the funds will go towards a trip out west to BC Superweek for The Cyclery-Opus women’s team. This is a team that has been built to help young bike racers launch their careers, and BC Superweek is a perfect event to help our athletes push their limits on Canadian soil. With nine races in 10 days, and a mix of Canadian and international riders, the Cyclery-Opus girls will see every imaginable racing situation and, if things go badly one day they can come back the next and apply the lessons they’ve learned.
From everyone at The Cyclery-Opus, we hope to see you Saturday night. Remember, tickets are on sale until 5 p.m. Thursday. To book a table, click here.
